11-20, I'm not expecting it to dominate this gen, but I'm also not expecting them to be scarce.

11-20. Planting the seeds for an increase next gen. Some types don't need a huge amount of pokemon, Dragon never had a huge amount cause it's supposed to be mystical and all that jazz.

I'm hoping for around 30 or 35 to match the number of Pokemon in each Type so far.

31-40.

I think somewhere near 20 will be new designs and evolution lines, like we've already seen, and then another 15-20 will be retconned from old games, which would put us roughly near Ghost and Dragon for the type that has the least amount of pokemon associated with it, which makes sense for a new type

I'm expecting around 30 overall.

This gives it around the same amount as Ice, Dragon and Ghost.

11-20 is what I'm hoping. As much as I like Fairy type, I fear that bringing it up to par in numbers might affect type balance in terms of newly introduced pokemon. I don't want 50% of new(and probably prevalent ingame) pokemon be the same type.

If the number is 11-20, they will be scarce. There are more Ghost-types than that in the first five gens already, and that's the rarest type.

I'm expecting the overall total to be at least thirty. That won't be "50% of the new Pokémon" - especially since that number will include old Pokémon.

And no, that's not unprecedented. In the second gen, there were more Dark- and Steel-types (six each) than Ghost or Dragon (four each).
