Why did GF insist on having 3 bipedal rhino's in gen 1?

Ohhhh man pokemaniacs get me with their analness on classifying pokemon.

Obviously the Nidos aren't Rhinos. Then what are they? Nothing, there is no real world analog. Do they resemble anything IRL? Sure! They vaguely resemble a bipedal rhino! DERP SEMANTICS

The thing is that all the animals within the pokeverse ARE pokemon! So, rather than Squirtle being a "turtle or tortoise" pokemon..... he's a SQUIRTLE pokemon as they have no other turtles to compare him to.

Basically, the story is flawed in that everyone knows the basic types and species of animals (which don't exist) and apply them as descriptors for pokemon.

http://www.diffen.com/difference/Tortoise_vs_Turtle

So really people, does any of this matter? Is Squirtle a turtle and Blastoise a tortoise? Or is he both? Blastoise fits tortoise far more than turtle, and squirtle fits turtle.

But when squirtle is identified by gf in the pokedex as a "tiny turtle pokemon" and wartortle as a "turtle pokemon" doesn't that mean something about classifying them?

Ahem.

You know Skyla is a pilot.

You also know Groudon is an armadillo.

Skyla and Groudon both weigh a lot. They also have puce-reddish heads (or hair).

In addition, they both have legs.

Effectively, Skyla is an armadillo.

Wtf is this?

Yes Skyla is a pilot. She's airborne naturally. An armadillo such as Groudon, are ground dwelling & burrowing creatures. There is 0 correlation here... and no they weigh nowhere near the same. Skyla is a thin attractive girl <3 while groudon is a monstrous armadillo creature that happens to be the heaviest pokemon by record, weighing over 2,000 pounds (yes, heavier than the largest pokemon, Wailord). So what if they both have legs. Spiders have 8 legs. Does it mean they are 4 armadillos? You have legs, are you an armadillo?

No, because I don't weigh a ton, nor do I have a puce-red head.
