I hope chespin isn't grass/dark that isn't a really good typing.

For the eleventy billionth time, not weak to Fire or Psychic, so if Fennekin does become Fire/Psychic, Chespin will not become Grass/Rock.

Nuh uh. You're setting up a reverse triangle (Psychic beats Fighting, Fighting beats Steel), but not only does Grass/Steel have no STAB advantages over Fire/Psychic, you don't even get the benefit of Fire/Psychic having a double weakness to abuse like Torterra did.

Besides, you're complaining that GRASS!!!/Dark has an immunity to a STAB of FIRE!!!/Psychic. oh no whatever will fennekin do how will fennekin ever be able to hit GRASS!!!/dark chespin when chespin is immune to psychic oh poor fennekin.

Fighting isn't my favourite type, but as long as Froakie looks good in his final form I'll pick him regardless.

I never got this complaint. We've had three pure grass (Meganium, Sceptile, Serperior) and three pure water (Blastoise, Feraligatr, Samurott) and I don't ever see anyone *****ing about that.

Only when you address the secondary typings alone. When you address both types:

Fire/Psychic vs Grass/Rock = Fire>Grass and Rock>Fire, Psychic is neutral
Water/Fighting vs Fire/Psychic = Water>Fire, Psychic>Fighting
Grass/Rock vs Water/Fighting = Grass>Water, Water>Rock

I think you should take your own advice about taking the two types together.

Fire > Grass, but Fire /> Grass/Rock.
