My crappy mono-Dark team beat a standard OU team.

Just thought I'd share the lols. A horrible mono-Dark team beat a typical, standard OU team.

He played stupidly.

You ran from Infernape before with Sharpedo, yet he waited till you killed 2 before sending in Infernape.

How is that in any way defending him?

Any team can win, really. If you win or not is based upon these few things:

1. The trainers skills and experiences.
2. The teams.
3. Luck.
4. The teams strategy and prediction.

There may be more.

That makes me realise that Serene Grace Jirachi is broken as anything with the Flinch haxing

Yeah, seriously, he threw away the match right then and there.

And then he whines about Umbreon being frustrating, while using friggin' Jirachi! That's what you get for sacking Terrakion for no good reason..

I hope that nobody uses this as evidence that tiers mean nothing, because it isn't. First, you're playing against the kind of guy who takes a whole battle to realize a team is monotype, believes that Wish + Protect stalling with Umbreon is more of annoying tactic than Jirachi Iron Head flinch spam, and is either Choiced on that Jirachi or doesn't recognize a simple pattern (I'll give him a Choice Scarf/Band just to be nice).

Tiers are alive and well, it's just that the intelligence of the player plays a far bigger role.

Funny thing is that he wasn't even paralyzed, he could have still won if he did the paraflinch strategy.

Makes me wonder why evasion moves are banned yet Paraflinch Haxing is completely okay

I've done the math and evasion moves aren't even good. Invariably, you'd waste more turns setting it up than the opponent would miss.

EDIT: And by "invariably" I mean "Often enough that that's how it averages out." You have a better chance of winning by playing "Normally" than my setting up Double Team.
