That would suck major booty. 100 or more should ALWAYS be the staple amount of new species. It kills the challenge for people who already "caught em all".
I think I might actually prefer they do it that way. It would probably mean less Rattata-clones and more powerful Pokemon meant for battle.
They'ell ALWAYS do Rattata and Pidgey clones no matter what happens. They're basically on the same tradition boat along with the starter types.
Our Rattata-clone has already been revealed BTW --- Freiza may be cool, but his brother is..... COOLER(get it?) 3DS FC:0645-6947-9076

Are you guys really that upset for a suggestion that would give us 150 new pokemon 100 of them improvements on old favorites? It'd add so much more variety to the game I don't think we have 100 pokemon now that could be considered for competitive play there could be a meta for mega pokemon alone.
Only 50 new pokemon is depressing but look at the positive to things, it's probably no more lumineons.

I guess that Mega Forms will be really rare and we won't get that many anyways, so I don' think that would happen.
What I can see happening is 50 Kalos Mon and 100 from other Regions. Dedenne also evolves into Raichu now.

If we take all of the new Pokemon we've seen so far and give at least one evolution/pre-evolution to the ones that don't have one at this point (2 evolutions in the case of the starters), then we already know of 47 Pokemon.
We are definitely getting more than 50 new Pokemon. They're not just going to show us most of the Pokedex pre-release. --- R.I.P. Pokemon Cycle Fact: Things are so much better when taken at face value.

While I like the Megas, I'd prefer more new pokemon.
