They're very similar to the recent Inazuma Eleven games that've been released in Japan. Cel-shaded, chibi-like overworld, with high quality models for battles and important conversations. The only thing missing is anime cutscenes.

This. It's why I tend to like more stylized graphics as compared to realistic. Most games that try to go for more realistic graphics end up not being great games themselves (for example, that new Brothers game. It looks great, but that's not enough to make the game great). There are exceptions, of course, but mainly I'll try to stick with the cartoony looks. --- Aut viam inveniam, aut faciam.
