I use to have a habit of trading/importing all my Pokemon from game to game up to the most current one. Just loved having all my trained Pokemon with me, or plus with older games not being compatible with newer ones when I want to use a fav team.

How about you guys?

Until the internal battery runs out, yeah I save them. I've invested some 300ish hours into Ruby.

I do feel guilty moving them over. Poor Ethan had to say goodbye to his starter Quilava, Peter lost his entire team but his Empoleon, and Pearl can't battle anything higher than lv 40 now. I feel like the memories that flood back looking at the team in the box are important.

Unfortunately, I just tried to complete the National Dex in Black 2. It would have taken me ages to recapture some of them, so I sucked it up and transfered them. It feels great looking at my almost complete boxes. I have two Pokemon left Garchomp (I'm RNGing for a perfect shiny Gible from Benga) and Lugia ( I need to trade with my brother). From now on, once per gen, I'll transfer them all over to complete the National Dex now.

If I can transfer, I transfer. I keep the Pokémon I've bonded in the most recent game whenever possible. I have Pokémon in Black 2 that are over 10 years old.

I'm pretty sure internal batteries are gone with now. All about FLASH memory these days!

By the way... How long can an internal battery on a copy of R/B/Y be expected to last? I know the ones in G/S/C are just starting to die out around this period in time, but those got clocks going constantly... I don't want to lose my team in Blue. I don't want to lose my Missingno., or my 'M, or my LM4, or my h Poké, or my A, or especially my .4. And then there's the Aerodactyl Skeleton Missingno. in my PC, I don't want to lose that, either.
