My idea, not originally mine, just so you know, and probably older than GameFAQs itself, is to ban rain from OU. It's literally THE only weather allowed in one tier (don't remember which ATM).

Honestly, reorganize the base stats of most Pokemon. Some people are pathetically weak and can't be used at all.

Stealth Rock becomes effectively typeless, like Spikes. That way the Focus Sashes of non-Magic Guard users still get broken, without a number of Pokemon Types being screwed over. We could also get some good (and by that I mean accurate) new Rock attacks to keep Flying types in check.

They should have made Poison beat Water, Fighting, and Steel. It already resist Fighting, Water needs another weakness, and Steel can be melted by acid.

Rain and Sun last 5 turns after a Drizzle/Drought user switches out. They must be switched in again in order to refresh the weather. Hail/Sandstorm lasts 7 turns after the user switches out.

Poison gains a super effective on Water.
Ice gains a resistance to Water. Ice takes neutral damage from Rock.
Dark is super effective against Fairy.
Dark gains a resistance to Steel.

The base line chance of a critical hit rate is set to 0%. All other levels of crit chance are unchanged.

Stealth Rock deals a maximum of 25% max health.

Sleep lasts 2-3 turns and the timer does not reset upon switching out.
Frozen Pokemon will always thaw out by the 4th turn.
The Toxic severity counter does not reset upon switching out.

Off the top of my head.

Yeah let's just make it flat out better than Flying. >__>

Also reversing an immunity is a poor decision, especially when Steel already has three exploitable weaknesses and by its very nature of being STEEL is supposed to be an excellent defensive type.

It would still be an excellent defensive type. Steel types are literally almost always used despite having 3 exploitable weaknesses.

And what's so bad about Poison being better than Flying types? :)

Edit: actually, they can probably just make Flying beat Ground as well, it will help differentiate from Poison. I know Pokemon is its own thing, but doesn't wind beat earth in other games?
