After watching the Pokemon X and Pokemon Y full wifi battle on YouTube, it got me thinking. Do you think when your Pokemon does certain moves the opponent has to select their moves within a time limit like 5-10 seconds otherwise miss out a turn? I got this idea when I seen Froakie use Bounce. It would seem really weird if Froakie used Bounce and he's in the air for 1 minute.

I think it works the same as B/W/B2/W2, there are 2 timers that can be set; Battle Time and Command Time. The command timer only shows when you're selecting from the menu (The "What will Pokemon do?" menu), and if something isn't chosen within the time limit, the game picks for you.
The battle timer works the same way, but plays through the entire battle. If nobody wins before time is up, the game determines who is the winner.
It would be cool if there was a way to do ATB battles though, it would add a new level of strategy.
