I hope the music is loud enough on the 3DS XL speakers

Games like Super Street Fighter IV 3D or Ridge Racer 3D are barely audible on the terribly weak 3DS XL speakers. But judging from the full Gamescom demo of the game, it looks like it will be just as loud as Harmo Knight. Pokemon always has good music.

Are they really barely audible at home, or only in noisier places like school?

I just got a 3ds XL and did notice that the speakers are a little quiet.

Sometimes just the normal ambience at daytime can make it hard to hear some games on the 3DS XL even at full volume. I am not exaggerating one bit.

There may be something wrong with your speakers cuz the speakers on my regular 3DS are really loud on max.

...and here I was assuming the first thing anyone buys after getting a handheld system is headphones.

It's the only way to go as far as I'm concerned.

Amen to that. I can hear a 3DS on max volume from a few rooms away.

Change the settings to stereo, instead of surround sound.

It's the 3DS XL. I own one too and I can feel TC. The volume isn't as loud on certain games.
