The EV system.

While it works great, the way its implemented in-game is wonky. No way to see what EVs youre getting, or who gives what. And because youre forced to battle a variety of Pokemon during the story that you have no way of really predicting, its impossible to effeciently EV train until after you already beaten the game....meaning anything you use during the story is destined to be a complete mess statistically. I feel like the system should be a lot more streamlined than it is.

Natures

Great concept, but again, implemented really awkwardly for the purposes of in-game. Natures being completely random means youre basically forced to use subpar pokemon throughout the game unless you either sit there catching the same things over and over, or just get luck on your first try. Honestly, natures should just be selected upon capture or recieving a pokemon somehow.

IVs

The worst offender of them all. Impossible to see, impossible to manipulate, and entirely luck-based. Even post-game this mechanic is poorly implemented. It needs an overhaul from the ground up.

Egg Moves

For the love of god, make these relearnable via heart scale already.

I wouldn't be surprised if in XY the only way to increase your EVs is through Super Training. That would streamline things a lot.

From what I've seen from XY there still won't a reveal for the numerical values of EVs. Rather there's something like a hexagon graph.

Doesn't mean their designs don't look like crap.

Stat wise most starters aren't that different all in all.

and based on the horrendous designs of Gen 6 starters prevos I won't be holding my breath for their evos
