Why are Frillish one Pokedex entry but the Nidos aren't?

If they are going to use real world terms then it's not up to us to redefine those terms to match our vision. That's not very scientific. Pokeball is not a real world term, they can define it as they see fit and have done so. Species is a real world term, and it has meanings I refuse to allow to be bent to the whims of some no-name video game developer.

You are just trying so hard...

If the game doesn't say it, you can't prove it. It's just speculation. Simple as that.

But the speculation is yours for making the equivalent of fan fiction concerning what species is. The games use a real word. That real word has a definition that easily applies. It's not our place to assume "species" or "walking" or "hello" mean anything different because Pokeballs exist in their universe unless those words are used to mean something explicitly different. It should now be noted that English translation doesn't count and Pokemon don't have species, they have classifications.

I'm not even sure what you're trying to even prove.

Nidoran M and Nidoran F are different Pokemon. Different names (the male/female symbols are PART of their official names, so their names are actually different), different base stats, different movepools, different evolutionary trees.

The Frillish line are identical to each other outside of pallet swaps for male/female. The Nido families are fundamentally different Pokemon that happen to share similar base forms.

Simply that the Pokedex was written by a hack. It doesn't properly classify Pokemon, there's no attempt to group by order, species, subspecies, any of that. It cites folklore in it's entries as factual information for Arceus' sake! It's time a professor came along and standardized information regarding Pokemon.

Usually people put effort into this type of thing.

So many Prof. Oakurrs just blindly defending his shoddy information gathering. Seriously who hires two ten year old research assistants to do field work? Clearly not enough research has been done on the Pringlemons to fairly represent them as two entries yet. That doesn't mean we should give up on them.
