Bouffalant @ Leftovers
Trait: Sap Sipper
252 HP / 252 ATK / 4 DEF
Adamant Nature
-Head Charge/Return
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Wild Charge/Megahorn

OU has many Pokemon that are likely far more powerful than Bouffalant. What's your reasoning behind suggesting him?

Staraptor is one of those Pokemon. They share the Ability in Reckless. I have used a Banded Staraptor very successfully. Usually taking out 1-3 Pokemon before fainting to recoil.

Staraptor @ Choice Band
252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
-Brave Bird
-Double Edge/Return
-U-Turn
-Close Combat.

I know everyone is going to scream SR weakness but I used mine as an opener 9 times out of 10.

I'll add my suggestion.
Heatran @ Leftovers or Air Balloon, depending on team support
252 SAtk/ 4 SDef/ 252 Spd
Timid
Fire Blast
Earth Power
HP Ice/Grass (again, depending on team support)
Stealth Rock

Credits to Smogon, I'd forgotten a standard set for Heatran. Anyways, Heatran can switch into various attacks due to its resistances and Flash Fire. While the ubiquitous rain teams are present alongside Garchomp, Dugtrio and other Ground-types I feel Heatran's strengths are worth having. It can block two statuses (Burn and Poison). Finally, if another bulky Pokemon is chosen for the team to set up Rocks, Heatran can run Taunt or Toxic instead

I forgot to mention. Just as the previous thread, suggestions will be taken for one day. After that point, we'll get to a decision.

I have changed my mind about shortlisting Pokemon. Other than filtering out Pokemon that are total gimmicks, I'm going to include every pokemon suggested. I'll explain voting when the thread ultimately goes up tomorrow.

Cloyster w/ Focus Sash
Adamant Nature 252 Attack 252 Speed 4 HP
Shell Smash
Icicle Spear
Rock Blast
Hydro Pump

I use this as my starting Pokemon quite a bit.

Gyarados. Reasoning? He's a beast that's actually a threat and can do something (bouffalant) and is actually bulky and not walled by every physical wall (Staraptor). Honestly some of these suggestions made me facepalm.

Gyarados@Leftovers
Ability:Intimidate
Nature:Jolly
ev's:88HP/248Atk/4Def/168Spe
-Substitute/Taunt
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Bounce

The standard bulky Gyara. Can run another set but this one is arguably the most effective. Also, its very easy to pick teammates around Gyarados.

Current List:

Garchomp (YacheDance)
Latias (CM Offense)
Snorlax (Stockpile) [Looks kind of gimmicky. :/]
Machamp (Sub + 3)
Conkelldurr (Status Orb)
Scizor (Muscle Band/Swords Dance)
Escavalier (ChestoResto)
Bouffalant (Lefties/All Out) [Doesn't seem like it has much of a place in OU]
Staraptor (Band)
Heatran (SR Offense)
Cloyster (Focus Sash)
Gyarados (SubDance)

6 hours remain for any other additions.

3 hours remain before I post the voting thread - at which point other suggestions will not be accepted until we're choosing Pokemon 2.

I'm going to quickly explain how voting will work:
-All sets will be posted in the OP with a title and their full set, alongside the reasoning of the person who suggested it.
-You choose a first, second, third pick. First picks will be rated 3, second 2, first 1. Pokemon with the highest rating is added to the team. If you don't pick 3, your vote does not count.
-Pokemon with ratings close to first will be automatically carried over to the next Pokemon thread.

So basically your votes will look like this:
1: YacheChomp
2: Status Conkelldurr
3: CM Latias

That's it. Remember you're not voting yet. All of this information will be in the OP of the next thread.
