The Shiny one, of course. Screw the Ability- a Shiny is a Shiny.

I'd just catch both. I'm not an idiot who can't focus when there are more than one Pokémon, I can accurately throw a ball at one like Wes and Michael.

Shiny, obviously... I can just take two steps and find another Growlithe with Intimidate anyways.

But it won't have perfect IVs and the nature you want.

That's machine-assisted.

That's machine-assisted.

The machine's only purpose is to turn your ball into a Snag Ball that allows you to steal trainers' Pokémon, it doesn't magically make you a more accurate pitcher.

Then why is it only in Orre we're allowed to use a Poké Ball when there are two Pokémon on the opposing side?

Only for that particular encounter, duh. What would be the point of giving us a dilemma if you could do that?

It's not the region that is different but the trainer. But the real reason is that the two game series were made by different developers.

It's useful in-game because many NPC trainers stupidly use Fire moves on Fire types. It's also useful competitively in double or triple battles, you can either boost up your own Pokémon or have the opponent uses a move that damage multiple Pokémon. It's also extremely useful in rotation battles because you can trick your opponent into wasting a Fire move on it.

Flash Fire Shiny.

That way, I have a Shiny Arcanine AND a fire immunity to make it easier to use Steel-types. (And Grass-types, and Ice-types, but who really cares about them?)
