I agree. Even after FR/LG came out I had a hard time understanding, why you were fighting them. At Mt.Moon you have no reason to fight them, they aren't even doing anything wrong there, just looking for fossils.
You only defeat them in the casino because you need to to progress the story.
And the only reason I bothered with them in Silph.Co was because they wouldn't let me enter Sabrinas Gym.
And in G/S/C...well you had actually a reason to fight them but they were even more pathetic than in Gen1..
Team ROCKET I found interesting because they weren't trying to do something incredibly idiotic (Aqua, Magma, Galactic). Their goal was to make money and rise up in power like an actual mafia. They didn't have some stupid half baked plan to drastically alter the world, destroy the world or take over the world. It made them seem much more "real". That is why they were interesting. I am excited to see what Team Flare will be like for similar reasons.
SuperRup91 damaged himself in confusion! --- Official Mega Aggron of the Pokemon X Board "Face the power of Steel!" - Neal, Future Gym Leader of Chroma City.
Especially in Platinum. He literally told the player of his plan to backstab his entire team WHILE completing his goal. He was an ass even toward his own men. --- Live like a windrammer as you **** while seeing futures in balls-Whoever wrote to AVGN 3DS FC: 4339-2730-2396
I find Team Rocket more interesting that the other teams because they're like a real mafia/mob. They don't care about taking control of the world through a crazy plan, changing the world in a misguided attempt to save it, or creating a new world. They just want money.
I've also played a lot of video games and watched a lot of anime. It's nice to see things that are closer to home. --- A familiar note is produced. It's the note Desolation plays to keep its instrument in tune
