Charizard should have been Fire/Dragon to begin with. The Mega evolution should definitely be Fire/Dragon. What a wasted missed opportunity. ugh. -_-

To be fair Ampharos still has crappy stats and a crappy new ability. Moldbreaker? Come on.

It has been proposed that Mold Breaker now works differently and can ignore type immunity conferred by type as well as by ability, meaning it would be able to hit Ground Pokemon with Electric attacks and Fairy Pokemon with Dragon attacks (if the rumors of that immunity are even true).

Charizard is draconic looking, but he's not a perfect fit. Heck, Flygon fulfills as many typical dragon trait as he does.

... Right, that's why Flygon is a dragon type.

ITT: Every reptile has to be a Dragon.

Charizard literally looks like a typical fire breathing dragon. Go troll elsewhere.

The fire-breathing European dragon is typically quadrupedal, has spikes on its body, typically has a more serpentine shape, tends to be shown with fins/spines, etc.

Also, talons are often a feature.

Oh, I know. It's just that Flygon(and Kingdra) tends to be attacked for not being draconic enough by Charizard fans.

Reptiles don't have to be dragon.

It's sort of funny because aside from being quadrupedal (which no dragon in Pokemon is,) Mega-Charizard has ALL the features you mentioned.
