With the recently revealed note that you'll be getting 2 starters (one Kalos starter and one Kanto starter) what would your team be?
I'm going for Fennikin (as a swift powerhouse) and Bulbasur (as a highly defensive tank). --- Banjo & Kazooie for SSB4! Pokemon Thunder Yellow for 3DS please!

Fenniken, Charmander, Torchic...
That was a lie, I'm really going with Chespin and Charmander.

I will still only play with Kalos starters. Both of these plus the torchic event that's too much. I already dedicated my time to bulbasaur, charmander and squirtle in previous generations. Mega evolutions doesn't change a thing. --- Currently playing : ACNL / M&LDT

Unless I forgo Starters entirely(for a Low BST playthrough), most likely the mons with the most offensive stats, because in-game, that helps get through battles that drag.
Right now, that is looking to be Froakie+Charmander.
