Water Is Over-Powered.

Potion: Restores 20 HP
-Had To Be Crafted, Tested, And Then Mass Produced

Bottle Of Water: Restores 50 HP
-Occurs naturally. Already Mass Produced. No Need For Any Testing

I've been saying water should be super effective against ice

So you want to nerf ice even further?
What the hell is wrong with this fanbase?

This is an ongoing argument against people who demand logic in the game, but do not actually use scientific logic.

If actual science was used for this game, the entire type chart will need to be rewritten and almost everything would be super effective against everything.

Ugh.
People say Pokemon is complicated enough with EVs, IVs and breeding. Bringing scientific logic into the series would destroy whatever balance we have now. We would end up with madness and chaos.

You're just misunderstanding, they don't actually mean it would be a good change to make water SE against ice, just in the context of using real world logic, water should be super effective against ice. Whether or not that is the case is what they are arguing.

They are not actually arguing if water being SE against Ice would benefit Pokemon's game mechanics as a whole. Rather, they may also argue that using too much realism in the game would make the game worse as a whole.

And that is why I've always end these arguments by saying that there is no logic in Pokemon and we should not think too much about it.

GF will never be able to balance the game using logic at this point and we cannot expect too much.
