I think as long as they don't say that they're the 4 horsemen it should be fine. Kind of like how Arceus is implied to be a god but I don't think they ever call it that in the games. Correct me if I'm wrong on that though.

But we already have the Three Musketeer Ponies (Plus 1), let's have something weird for the horsemen... like wallabies. ^^

4 Dark-type Centaurs. Make them enemies of the Musketeer legends.
War (Red Rider): Dark/Fire
Death(Pale Rider): Dark/Ghost
Famine(Black Rider): Dark/Ground
Conquest (White Rider): Fighting/Dark

Alternatively, replace Conquest with a Dark/Poison for Pestilence.

Yeah, Conquest and War are the same thing. It's pestilence that'd be needed.

No. Actually, if you dig deep enough linguistically, it seems that "Conquest" gains power through subterfuge and sweet words.

Notice how it said he had a bow but didn't mention arrows? that is minor on its own, but in the original writings, the word used for "bow" was the same as the word for the rainbow in the story of Noah. That rainbow was used as a sign of a promise.

Taken together, this strongly implies that "Conquest" takes over through politics, deciet and promises, rather than force.

Also, Plague and Famine are in fact the same guy.

I apologize if that started out rude, it wasn't my intention.

Well, to me it was always taught:

War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death

and any time the four showed up when there was another thing to represent War, Conquest replaced him (see: Incarnations of Immortality, though that series replaced death as well). So I guess it's a matter of how you interpret it. :/

At least its not like Darksiders. War, Fury, and Strife<.<

It'd only work if they spawned in a certain area, with a 1/256 encounter rate.

A 1x1 patch of ground at the end of a long cave and only spawns upon entering, if it's not there you have to leave the cave and try again.

That... Sounds like hell .

Indeed, and I have played a couple of games with a condition almost exactly like that, except it's for 4-7 of them and required for 100% completion.

To Darksider's credit, how the heck are you supposed to portray Famine/Pestilence as an action game protagonist? The changes I think were for the sake of sensible character thematics/design.
