I go back to Emerald, LeafGreen and the Gen 4 installments(Platinum and HeartGold) every once in a while. infact, I just started another HG playthrough. The Gen 2 remakes seem to be very fun IMO.
I can't go back to the old old games though(RBY). Yes I grew up with them, but now they're just too archaic and flawed for an enjoyable playthrough, for me atleast. --- "Strike me again, and I shall bury that rod in your spark"-Predaking to Starscream
And for some reason holes keep appearing in my collection between gens. For example, I noticed that in 4 - > 5, for some odd reason I had no Spindas. Gen 3 -> 4, Politoed did the vanishing act. Theres probably more, but none come to mind.
For anyone who does competitive, theres the old move tutor moves, I guess. --- Official Oblivion Keyblade of the KH3 Board 3ds FC: 1934-0765-5595
Not really. I like how the series grows and evolves, and I like utilizing the new features. I don't like going back to the old ones simply because it's basically just removing features. It's not like Dragon Quest Monsters or the Digimon games, where whole battle systems changed as the games went on. --- Empress of the Jovian Empire Mechanical Advisor for Golden Sun: Adept's Refuge
I'm constantnly replaying Gens 3 and 4, and the only reason I rarely play Gen 1-2 is because I'd get too attached to the Pokemon and not be able to transfer them forward. --- I'm not a GRRL gamer; I'm just another kid who had a Nintendo and never grew out of it.
