Pineco, not only did I have to spend a ridiculous amount of time soft reseting to actually get the right swarm, he used explosion as his first move EVERY single time. Luckily I was finally able to bring him down with 1 quick ball without him breaking out.

Abra, particularly early in the game. If you don't have any moves that trap the target or put it to sleep (and on a very fast Pokémon, might I add), or else something with Shadow Tag or Arena Trap, you got one shot. Just one. Most of which invariably take a turn for the worse at the words "Aaargh! Almost had it!".

Oh, and Chansey. Particularly in the Safari Zone, though trying to catch one when they're able to heal themselves with Softboiled is no picnic, either.

And naturally, I mirror everyone else's sentiments about the Beldum line. I mean, sure, they introduced Beldum in a generation when it couldn't be found in the wild, but why couldn't they just change the catch rate once it started to show up in the wild?

Beldum: Thing kills itself with Take Down. I just said screw it and transferred one from Emerald.
Metang in 5th gen: Why is it's catch rate so low? I caught a DW one in the hollow but it was an ass to get.
Abra: If you don't get it on the first ball then you're screwed.
Chansey/Tauros/Kangaskhan: Basically any of the rare Pokemon in the original Safari Zone.
Snorlax: Can be annoying with rest.
Voltorb/Electrode/Geodude/Graveler: Boom! You can't catch me!
