I'm also comparing Garchomp to Mega Garchomp(DUHHH)

1v1 Mega Garchomp will lose 100% of the time.

Oh okay so FEAR Rattata is better than Rayquaza.

Gotcha.

What does Rattata have anything to do with this?

Yeah the speed reduction kinda defeats the purpose of MegaGarchomp. Why even give it a Sp Atk boost? :(

Depends on it's ability? Maybe it will get speed boost to make up with the lost of speed or another great ability.

It gets SandForce.

SandForce? Kinda neat but lost of speed really doesn't make it much of an improvement and thank you for the information.

He is using your "logic" against you. You claim Garchomp is better than MGarchomp because it can beat it 1 on 1. Well, he points out, by that logic; that FEAR Rattata would be better than Rayquaza since it can beat it 1 on 1.

Actually Rattata loses, because Rayquaza has Extremespeed.

Indeed. Chompy thrives on holding Scarf or Band, none of which he can do with MegaStone.

"Just use SD"

Itīs decreased speed makes it unviable as a sweeper. It canīt even hold the ice berry to take a hit.

Just wondering since I may have missed something, but the newest scans implied that the mega evolution would be done via a trigger on the screen that you could choose when to activate and pick from a list of stones.

That could mean that they could still hold items AND mega-evolve.

You have to have the Mega Stone equipped to get the button to show up in the first place.

I'm pretty sure they have to be holding the stone. I'd like to see the scan that suggests otherwise.
