From Serebii. "Aurorus has a move called Freeze Dry, which is an Ice-type move which freezes the opponent but is said to be super effective against Water-type Pokémon." --- I am the Disappearing Boy 3DS FC 5198-2459-7859

sounds more like an ice move with a special effect. --- The above post is made of cake.

Not necessarily, it could just be the Freeze Dry's secondary effect that it deals SE damage to water types. --- Black 2 FC: 5244 3977 2266

It could just be an effect like "This move always critical hits." Or "This special attack hits regular defense instead of special."
And the description says "Aurorus has a move called Freeze Dry, which is an Ice-type move which freezes the opponent but is said to be super effective against Water-type Pokémon." --- "Gary was here. Ash is a loser!" = Greatest Tramp Stamp Ever Green & Blue Bird, this is Mr. Fabulous, we are a go for cheesin' it. - Bender

No, basically all the move does is it ignores the type chart and does Super Effective damage if the opponent is Water type. The rest of the type chart would probably remain in effect, so dual-types that are part water may still have some resistance to the move. --- Experience beats bias, but words on the Internet are meaningless. 3DS XL FC: 2492-4470-1418 / White 2 FC: 0047-4149-5185 / White FC: 0348-0626-6780
