Honedge & Doublade. WHAT. Over 650 plus the new ones and I thought they all fit Pokemon... like are you serious with this design.

Because we didn't have magnets, balls, piles of goo and alphabet letters before, right.

I'm interested in your reasoning. People make these kinds of topics all the time and no one ever does anything but rage.

They all are fit as monsters though... but a straight sword evolving into two swords. No. Those pokemon fit; this does not.

I am not arguing the design as good or bad, I am arguing it isn't "pokemonish."

Voltorb was supposed to look like a pokeball,
Muk is a swamp monster? How is that stupid, many games have them.
Magneton really isn't a bad design if you ask me; maybe an evolution pattern but not a bad design and I like how they used them in the anime.

If this can be a Pokemon...

Why can't this be one?

If this is ok...

How is this crossing the line?

"other games have them" is not a reasonable argumnt for "it looks like pokemon" because thats the definition of other: not the same. so if you say other games have them, you should actually think it doesnt look like pokemon.

at first you said youre not judging on honedges design but only the idea, then you say magneton with a similarly uncreative idea is still good because the design is not bad.

learn about argumentation before you whine all over the internet.

I would also like to add that this way of thinking goes against TC point. Honedge is a possessed sword... lots of other games have possessed swords... so by the same logic he's using with Muk, Honedge should be perfectly acceptable.

Honedge and Doublade are swords so filled with malice, they come to life and try to kill everything.

When sheathed, they present themselves as harmlessly grinning ornate swords, but those eyes and mouths are actually fake, merely the edges of the cold steel blade that they are. Their real eyes are the jewel in the scabbard, looking at prey menacingly.

When they unsheathed, they show no emotions, they become cold blooded killing weapons only out to kill everything insight. Their only expression is the act of murder and destruction.

They are so intent on killing, they duo wield themselves and drain the life of anyone who tries to touch them. They are more monstrous than almost any other Pokemon we have.

Magneton is no more 'pokemonish' than Honedge and Doublade. Both are based on objects, both have eyes and both evolve in a logical manner(Magneton's magnetism lets them stick together and dual wielding is a definite upgrade from onehanded sword fighting, espacially in skill-level. Plus it's based on those decorational swords too).

Voltorb, Muk and Magneton are totally fine with me, because they all have perfectly sound ideas behind them and so does the Honedge line.
