Would Fire or Thunderpunch be better for Gallade?

The rest of my moveset is Close Combat Leaf Blade and Psycho Cut.

Sister-How would you feel if you were playing a game, and in that game, Mario was a baby? Me-I'd be playing Yoshi's Island, so I would be feeling great.

Leaf Blade is an awful move for Gallade

Teach it Swords Dance and Night Slash instead

STAB Close combat does just as much damage as a x2 leaf blade.

Close combat
Psycho cut
Swords dance
Shadow sneek

But I like Leaf Blade. It's cool.

Tbh, Ice Punch would work better. You already have a Fighting move to deal with Steel and Ice types. You don't need the Fire type coverage as much as you'll need the Ice.

STAB Close Combat is better than SE of either Punch.

However, Fire Punch hits Grass/Steel for x4, so you can use it with impunity on Scizor and Ferrothorn instead of Close Combat.
