They either have crap movepools, crap abilities, crap types, or crap stats. Its depressing as hell that i'm practically forced to use pokemon i feel incredibly "meh" about if i want to do any sort of multiplayer

None of mine are, either. But fortunately I don't have much interest in playing competitively.

Most of mine are. Tyranitar, Excadrill, Garchomp, Rayquaza etc.

Have you tried playing one of the lower tiers? That's why I avoided OU when I started and stuck to UU, but there's also RU and even NU metagames.

Thatīs why there are different tiers. Play in a tier with Pokemon you like.

Also, you CAN take those Pokemon to high-tier battles. You just have to be a bit more clever to win with them.

Yeah most of my favorites are pretty crap competitively. I think the only ones that are good are Skarmory...oh wait that's pretty much it.

Came here to post this. I stick to NU and UU because of that. Those tiers are also arguably more fun(they are to me) than OU because the teams you face actually tend to differ greatly.
