Well, if we're going to use that definition, what about gyarados and aerodactyl?


a sea serpent and a pterodactyl with a deformed face, you know kinda like his name refrences...

These are all mons that Lance used in place of actual Dragon types in gen 1. Two Dragonairs, a Charizard, a Gyarados, an Aerodactyl, and a Dragonite.

Though, that may have been two dragonites and one dragonair, me memory is foggy.

na i got it, its just charizard looks more like an actual dragon than any existing pokemon, and i do think dragon typing would be fitting for gyarados too

Nope. Looking at some dragons in different folks lore and different cultures Charizard is just a lizard with wings.
