I love the Pokemon games, but I don't have a 3DS.

Been playing them ever since Pokemon Yellow, but I'm not sure if I can justify getting a 3DS just for this game.

I don't particularly have an overwhelming interest in the console's library, so I wouldn't wanna go buying a bunch of other games just so I can go "See? I bought all of this! It's okay!"

But it's Pokemon.

Wat do? D:

Get a 2DS, the latest and cheapest entry in the 3DS family. Don't let the name confuse you.

It plays both DS and 3DS games, and doesn't have the 3D feature of the other 3DS models (the reason why it's called the 2DS) reducing the cost.

Hmm. Yeah, I heard about the 2DS. Though my concern is more about spending 100+ on a new console for one game, which would be the case for either variant.

It's just hard to tell whether Pokemon would be worth it, I guess. ****.

no system is worth just 1 game!!

BUT there is a nice library of games that it could be worth it......

How many hours did you put into the previous games? Calculate how much you spend per hour of entertainment. That should justify it.

Dude, it's Pokemon. You've been playing them since yellow, so you know what you're getting, only now with epic graphics and awesome refinements.

As for buying a system for one game, I do that all the time. Just pick it up and then check out other games if you want, or play X/Y to death and justify the cost through playtime.
