Although, 2 water moves on a non-water type would suck. I'm still hoping to spread it between Goomy (Surf) and Dragalge (Waterfall).

Never really required a water type in any game really. There are usually normal types that learn water hms too. Dragons usually learn them as well.

Edit - Scratch the dragon thing. Thinking about it. Dragonite does. Kingdra does and then most of them from there do not.
