So is maxing your bond with Pokemon-amie the same as maxing happyness?

Just curious cause they seem like they should be the same.

But then.... if it is, that means there are three eeveelutions that require it, how would they be different?

It can't be, or an eevee would evolve into espeon/umbreon and sylveon at the same time.

Unlikely.

Your bond in Pokemon-Amie could be you and your Pokemon's relationship status: Are you mortal enemies, do you just not like each other, are you partners, pals, best friends, true companions, etc.

While normal happiness would be all around happiness: How does it feel about what it's eating, how does it feel about losing, exercising, travel pace, etc.

Or vice versa.

Not sure what the requirements for sylveon are but you still have to level eevee up at day/night for espeon/umbreon.
