God no that thing did legitimately look awful. That design probably would have actually ruined the line for me.

Delphox was the best thing that could have happened Fennekin. It saved it from being furry bait and made it ambiguous enough to be normal with either gender.

As others have said, a million times over, that's just a robe, hardly an example of someone being a mage, what is traditional about wearing a robe... other than practically anyone other than a knight would wear one?
