What if the Pokemon fell in love with the trainers?

Go search the internet, there's tons of that stuff there.

This.

That and they already said in D/P that Pokemon used to marry humans long ago. So it's already canon for them to fall in love.

A bit like when your dog humps your leg.

Nope. Pokemon are way smarter than your dog.

This.

Bestiality is canon in Pokemon.

We cannot apply our morals onto their universe, we do not have the right to judge them.

It says that people and pokemon were once the same. This either means that pokemon were once human-like, or that humans were once pokemon-like. So it's not exactly bestiality. It's closer to natural evolution (the non-pokemon kind of evolution), which is another reason they might have kept it out of the english version.

I sense a disturbance among the Gardevoir and Lopunny fandom. Something is about to transpire.

They did say that people used to marry Pokémon, though. So there has to have been some distinction between them even back then.

It can be argued both ways, that humans and Pokemon were both from the same evolutionary branch or that humans and Pokemon were seen and treated the same, given equal rights etc.

But the fact still stands that Pokemon and humans can marry and have children, N being the living proof.
