These Vivillon Forms...

I understand that the reasoning for the different patterns was probably why it's the only new bug type in Kalos.

However, it got me wondering... is it possible that based on the patterns, Vivillon will learn different moves? All of the forms we've seen so far are element based.

Polar Form could be ice or water moves. Garden form could be grass moves. The white form we know exists could be ice (if polar is water) or fairy. The base form would obviously be bug/flying.

Just a random thought. I haven't seen anything about the different patterns other than pictures of them.

If the patterns did in fact affect how Vivillon learned moves, would that change your opinion on Vivillon? I'm sure a Quiver Dancer with access to non-traditional quiver dance attack moves could be insane.

Glad I'm not alone. :p

I'd love if Polar Form had like, Aurora Beam or something similar. xD

Even something like Water Pulse.

Furfrou is a normal type, which has quite a few new pokemon in it. It's also a gimmick pokemon, no different than any other gimmick 'mon from past gens. :P

Vivillon is the only bug pokemon and isn't a gimmick 'mon.

Has that been proven? So far it seems furfrous hairstyles are purely cosmetic.

It isn't true. That was my point.
