What is the Nuzlocke Challenge? 1) I can only catch the first Pokemon I encounter in each new area. If the Pokemon faints or runs, too bad. 2) If a Pokemon in my party faints, they die and I immediately release them or do a giveaway to a reader. 3) I will nickname every Pokemon to encourage a bond. There may be times where I leave it up to the board. 4) If I lose a battle, it is game over. 5) Pokemon given by NPCs are fine, but I won't be using the event Torchic. 6) No trades. 7) Obviously no saving and resetting if things go badly. 8) These rules will be followed until I beat the Elite Four, at which point I will play the game normally.
What do you mean "blind"? Most people do a Nuzlocke challenge to add new life to an old Pokemon game. I'm going to be doing a Nuzlocke challenge on my very first run. In the interest of full transparency, I have played up until a bit after the first gym, but I've decided this sounds so fun that I'm just gonna start over.
Why do I care? Well, you don't have to, but I'm gonna keep this topic updated and hopefully people have fun following along! There will be ways to participate throughout, mostly in nicknaming things.
How will you choose your starters? The last number in my randomly generated trainer ID. 1-3: Chespin & Charmander 4-6: Froakie & Bulbasaur 7-9: Fennekin & Squirtle
How will you name your character? The first poster in this topic gets to name my character. Exceptions: nothing crude and it must be a "real name", i.e. a name that an American male would have. GOGOGOGOGOGO
