I want to try it but I am a little intimidated about getting into Pokemon for the first time. I have never played a Pokemon game or seen the show, never played the trading card game etc. My knowledge of Pokemon is pretty much limited to knowing a pikachu when I see one.
I am an avid gamer of many different types. Rpgs, srpgs, mmos, rts, etc. I even used to play animal crossing with the whole family but they have moved on to this game.
I would appreciate any tips you may have as far as getting into the game, not being overwhelmed etc. Even just a link to a "Pokemon X for idiots" or something like that would be appreciated.
Pokemon is a detailed but easy to pick up roleplaying game. You don't need any 'Pokemon for Dummies' rundown! You don't need any prior knowledge; NPCs fill in most of the knowledge gap. The rest, as discovery, is part of the fun. --- Go to Gamestop, buy a Steam card, and use it to purchase Ys Origin. You won't be disappointed. 4227-1617-5338 Safari:Audino/Lillipup/Chansey
Well, the game teaches you pretty much anything you need to know from the beginning. =) It's a game that's easy to learn, hard to master. --- 3DS FC: 5026-4968-1695, Name: Adam Perfection is at hand! I have been made compleat.
Each Pokemon game has a different story, youcan jump into either one at any time, there are over 700 Pokemon now, I bought X for my Fiancee so her and I could play it together
Granted she only knows about the 1st gen and part of the 2nd gen, she went in blind, she asks me what some of the Pokemons typings are and asks me if a Pokemon is good or not..she has been enjoying herself since.
The moral is..you don't need to know everything about Pokemon to play the game.. --- Official Rocket Raccoon of the UMvC3 Boards
