Horde battle EV training?

#1Gsus_94Posted 10/22/2013 8:25:42 AM
How exactly does this work? I know in past games the exp share also shared EVS but I don't remember getting all the EVS from the power items.

I see people are saying that they've been training full teams at once so I was wondering, does a lead Pokemon with pokerus and an EV power item give 10 EVS to everyone in the team with the exp share on (assuming the Pokemon normally gives 1 EV)

Or does everyone have to hold a power item and have pokerus? Or does this not work at all?

In past games the EXP Share was a hold item, and you couldn't carry it and a Power Item at the same time. That's not the case any more.

Everyone you want to train has to have the power item and pokerus.

Let's say you're hunting for horde Pokemon that give 1 EV. The Power item increases that to 5. Pokerus doubles that to 10, and since there are 5 Pokemon in a horde, you get 50 EVs. The pokemon you're training doesn't even have to participate. You can even EV train multiple pokemon at once if you have enough Power items (for up to 250 EVs in one attack).

Ahh so you're saying my lead Pokemon does not need the power item or pokerus. They have to be on the Pokemon that wants to be trained. And every Pokemon that wants to be trained needs pokerus and the item too. When you say 250 EVS you mean distributed to all 5 Pokemon so 50 each right?

Thanks to everyone who responded :) also, does anybody have a list of best horde locations for each stat?

50 EVs per battle sounds faster than 12 EVs per game.
