I seriuols doubt gamefreak care about what some random person on gamefaqs comes up with for idees
I never said they did care.
who DIDN'T come up with a T-Rex fossil (probably the most asked for fossil since gen 1)
As I said, I addressed this.
and a pumpkin ghost type is equally as asked for.
That is true though, and I was going to make note of that as well.
and comparing this http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120809205825/engelpedia/de/images/9/9e/Cthulhu.png
to this http://media.pocketmonsters.net/imageboard/60/13736596850084.png
is kind of a stretch
Well, it's not like they can make a monster in a kid-friendly franchise too frightening like that. Also, why compare it to Inkay instead of Malamar. But for a franchise like Pokemon, a Dark/Psychic tentacled monster is pretty close to that of Cthulhu's common portrayal.

I came up with a Grass/Ghost-type based off of a wilted plant that evolves into a wilted tree. Phantump and Trevenant are not exactly wilted,, but the concept of a ghost tree is close enough.
I came up with a pumpkin/jack-o-lantern, but mine started out as a pure Grass-type and gained the Fire-type in its final evolution. Quite different from the Grass/Ghost Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist.
I came up with a fossil T-rex Pokemon. While that idea is likely not unique at all, my concept was Rock/Poison. ...I think I prefer the way Game Freak did their T-rexes Tyrunt and Tyrantrum over my concept.
I came up with a tentacled Dark/Psychic-type based off of the Elder Gods (specifically Cthulhu), and it was meant to be a legendary on par with Arceus and focused more on special attacks, but can really go either way. I posted about it before: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/696959-pokemon-x/65398736 . Inkay and Malamar have the typing and tentacles, but their stats are a far cry from my concept.
So basically, there are some vague similarities, but none of your concepts actually became actual pokemon. K.
