Well I was going to point out you don't need a FS Ditto to start with, but it does make it easier as you case breed any gender of the desired pokemon you want.

I am glad you mention phasing out the ditto.

It is also worth noting that once you have a 5 IVed male pokemon of your choice you can use it to breed other 5 IVed pokemon to other groups.

A good example is Buziel who is in both Field and Water 1 groups
From there you can easily pass perfect IVs onto all at least one member of all other egg groups.

This doesn't need to be done however if you managed to get a 5 IVed Ditto, but this is very unlikely.

Also, sadly this breeding method doesn't work with Genderless or male exclusive pokemon as you would require a 5 perfect IVed with Ditto.

Yeah, 5 IV males are useful breeding stock for other groups, they can basically function like better Dittos for pokemon within their own group, but of course this does require you to have a female of the desired species.

Oh, I suppose I should also mention the Masuda method. If the pokemon you're breeding are from different regions, you have a higher chance to get a shiny (though it is still extremely low). This can be combined with IV breeding, you just need a pokemon from a different region with good IVs. You might be able to find someone on the trading board willing to swap 5IV pokemon.

Correct me if I'm wrong but is the max chance of getting the 5 Perfect IVed pokemon (from 2 5IVed parents) is 1/6?

Yep. It's 1 / 24 from 4IVed parents.

Also, sadly this breeding method doesn't work with Genderless or male exclusive pokemon as you would require a 5 perfect IVed with Ditto.

It still does, it's just slower. You can still get a 5IV pokemon from a 4IV and a 3IV, the odds are just 1/48 rather than 1/24.

If you want to breed one of these pokemon, definitely keep catching Dittos until you find one with 3 perfect IVs. The odds are fairly good (you have about a 1 in 8 chance for each Ditto), so it shouldn't take long.

Oh of course, but I mean from the average FS Ditto it is very rare.

4 IV Dittos are very sought after. 1/24 doesn't sound that bad really.
But what you can't do is get that max 1/6 chance you can when you consectively breed, changing parents whenever.

Nice one on using Fletchinder. Having both Flame Body/Fly saves some time from when I was switching in/out my Fly slave while my Magcargo was in the party.
