Since soak can turn pokemon to water type, should there be a move that can turn

Water types to ice types?

Seems like it would make sense. Would be extremely useful, i would think, especially with how common/generally op water type is.

Could be useful. Give your water-type opponents a nerf by throwing more weaknesses on them. Or, conversely, use it on a teammate in a double battle for some extra STAB, if you need it. I feel a move like this could have its uses.

If you believe in Jesus Christ and are 100% proud of it, put this in your sig.

It could have its uses. However, water types are usually bulky. Rarely are they super power houses. So the water typing itself is made for defensive purposes. If anything, soak is probably there to help keep certain other pokemon alive.
I juss dun understayand.

Soak a Shedinja in doubles. Desperately hope your opponent isn't carrying many Electric or Grass attacks.

As a move solely targeted at water types, I'm not sure (extremely situational), but as an ability it would be pretty awesome. Could come up with some cool names too. I would say it could even boost ice type moves, but then that kind of craps all over the idea of giving a water type less defense and boosting the commonly seen water-type-using-ice-beam.

I want to go play in snow :(
