Trying this again... haha

What Goomy ability is good for what type of role? (sweeper/tank/etc)
And what natures am I looking at, so far I have a Modest, I heard Calm might be a good one?
I haven't quite decided what I want to do with my goomy so I'm looking for suggestions

I'm leaning towards either hydration or gooey, thanks for the help!

Gooey always unless on a rain team run Gooey or Hydration. Grass immunity isn't very useful so I wouldn't run Sap Sipper

If you're playing Goodra as a sweeper, you're probably doing it wrong since there are waaaaaaay better options. 'dat Sp Def is what you have to build around.

Hydration = stalling with no sleep rest + rain. I think Timid goes best with this?
Gooey = best wall.. tanks the specials and has the chance to punish physical attackers. I bred mine to be Modest.
Sap Sipper = I haven't found a good use for this kind. Neutralizes Grass, but it's too niche.

Grass Immunity is useful, it just depends on what weaknesses your team has. Hydration is extremely useful though, as you have the ability to teach Goomy both Rest and Rain Dance. Couple those two moves with Thunder/Dragon Pulse, and you've got a solid Special Wall.

You either eat the world, or the world eats you. Either way, it's okay.

Thanks Vairon, Nakkaru`!

I'm interested in trying a rain dance team but, not quite sure how to go about it yet. So maybe I should try the gooey route first.

So during ev I'd be boosting the sp.def and what else?

Would I still be going for a modest nature if pairing with hydration? Nakkaru suggested maybe timid?

You're welcome. It's my goal to help out people on this board with playing the awesome Goomy line to its fullest potential. Sp Def, Sp Atk, and Spd in that priority. Goodra's defense is its worst stat with physical atk not far behind, but the HA Gooey kind of makes up for that weakness.

Looking at the nature chart, Calm could work very well too. Timid's nice if you want a little extra speed that could help out, but it depends on how your Goodra works with the rest of your team.
