Pokebank and restarting the game?

#1SSJ4ArquilliusPosted 10/27/2013 7:02:13 PM
So... I know I want to do this, but who else wants to completely restart their game when pokebank comes out?

Considering I can't transfer the items (mega stones, masterball, etc) I don't really see a reason to restart the game. There's plenty of areas open to explore and exp all after super training to get pokemon leveled up fast plus I am a hoarder in the game. On my N64 I have multiple 99s of all the stat boosting drugs and ultra balls from every single time I replayed Pokemon gen 1 and 2.

Depending on how it works, I might restart. If I can't get a full team of my favourite as soon as I get the Pokedex, then no way am I restarting.

Whoa, deja vu. Did you give this exact answer to another similar topic? I swear I read this very post a few hours ago.

But anyway, the FAQ on the Bank says you can withdraw anything the moment you get the Dex.

Yes, I did, and I probably will again if another of those topics show up. And I hadn't read the FAQ for the bank, so thanks for that bit.

And suddenly hype increases.

For the seventh Gen, I wonder if we'll be able to do that off the bat, or if it will be incompatible with the new games for a couple of months, first? This time around is just to get it set up, but I could see them letting the games be fresh runs for the first few months before allowing people to mass transfer.

I'm pretty sure that's the PokeTRANSFER, not the PokeBANK. They're two different things. Pretty sure if you attach items to pokemon and send them to the bank, they'll stay on them. The only exception is if you send them there using the PokeTransfer app from Black/White.

Pretty sure you need to read the FAQ.

http://www.pokemonxy.com/en-us/strategy/

The FAQ you clearly didn't read says...
Can I deposit Pokémon holding Berries or other items in Pokémon Bank?

If you try to deposit Pokémon that are holding Berries or other items, the items will be removed and sent to your Bag. If your Bag is full, the items will disappear.

Sorry, I must have overlooked the part about the Poke Transfer in that question/answer pair. Could you point it out for me?
