A worldwide release is nice and all... but

What's the point of orchestrating a worldwide release, but not being able to synchronize events so that all regions can enjoy them? I keep seeing all the stuff that only Japan keeps getting so far. The O-Power and Weakness Policy event; they even have an upcoming event to get a Garchomp with a Dragon Fang held item attached to it.

Sure, these seem insignificant enough, but I thought Nintendo was trying to tie-in Pokemon commercialization simultaneously with regions outside of Japan, so that we didn't get stuff much later than their native country. If they could have released and orchestrated a world-wide release of two whole video games; with all the marketing, localization, translation, and dubbing going into them; why can't they do the same thing with these simple events?

Yeah, maybe, but that's kind of contradictory with their initial efforts.

Its pretty dumb. Japan gets a LOT of event Pokemon with minor changes like a move it can't normally get or an extra held item. I wish the rest of the world could get these events. It can't be hard. Its literally a line of numbers. I never really have gotten the point of events when it only happens once every 6 or more months. If they want to have a more connected community and more focus on their own features give more events.

Because they say they want international releases but they'll still do anything to make sure their country gets something extra.

Not that it's unexpected though, any other country hosting something popular would likely do the same.

Sadly there might always be region specific events like that.

They're not even region-specific; we get them eventually, a lot of the time; it's just, we're also really late to receive them. It makes no sense; as someone already posted; they obviously want a social and connected community, they should tie it all in equally.

That's not really justifiable, given their recent direction they've been going with major releases such as Pokemon, even going as far as to tie in the global community with Nintendo Direct podcasts. It's about time their Pokemon event system caught up with the company's recent trend.

I can understand region specific events that correlate with events celebrated in their regions like happen often in Japan. What I don't understand is when they do Pokemon Center events but not Nintendo World events or wifi events for specific region only. Especially the latter.

If it's a specific national holiday that's important to them or a historic date in time that pertains to their region; that's fine. Other than that; they released titles worldwide just for the sake of releasing them, without capitalizing on the concept moreover.
