I'd rather hoard battle or fight the old fashioned way than super train.

I usually do:

Atk = Weepinbell (Route 19)
SpAtk = Vanillite (Frost Cavern)
Speed = Murkrow (Route 15)
HP = Foongus (Winding Forest)
Def = Nosepass (Route before Geosenge lol)

Also, how do Power Items work. You gain 4 Evs for every 1 EV right? So if I fight two Vanillites I'll get 10 Evs?

Yeah, you get an ADDITIONAL 4EVs on top of what the pokemon already gives (some give 1, some give 2)
