Like, Poison- and Steel-types can't be poisoned, etc. I'm curious about what a good type combination would be for absorbing status moves in general.

Grass ground.

Can't be spored/stun spored and t waved.

Which are imo the most important ones.

Electric types can't be paralyzed anymore. Ghosts are immune to moves/abilities that prevent switching or running, except for shadow tag I think.

The most effective typing would be things involving grass, ground, or electric. Ghosts can no longer be held in battle due to Block, Mean Look, Spider Web, or Shadow Tag. So with that knowledge, think about your current team's weaknesses and resistances, then pick which types are best for you.

Personally, I don't think you will find an ideal status resister who can also be used for great walling or great attacking. . . Not for super competitive battles, anyway. (ice would RUIN you)

Hm...what about Ferrothorn? Immune to spore moves, immune to poison, doesn't really care about paralysis...

I know there's not going to be any single best choice. I just want to get some ideas flowing.

Ferrothorn still gets paralyzed by non-spore/powder moves...

Anyway:

Fire can't get Burned
Ice can't get Frozen
Electric can't get Paralyzed
Grass can't get affected by spore/powder based moves (and immune to Leech Seed)
Poison can't get Poisoned
Ghost can't get trapped

I think that's it. Can Steel get poisoned by non-poison moves? >_>
I'm not against religion. I'm against all bad ideas, held for bad reasons, prompting bad behavior.

Steel cannot be poisoned at all unless their typing is somehow changed.

No non-poison move has a poison side effect IIRC
