Eviolite Whirlipede or Black Sludge Scolipede

#1ultlifeformPosted 11/10/2013 2:45:13 PM
I'm wanting to make a speed boost one with Swords Dance, Baton Pass, Protect, and Toxic Spikes. Which do you think is more durable? Also, Nature/EVs?

Not even a single attack?

Well, if I was going to have an attack, I wouldn't need to ask: Whirlipede has pitiful atk. I was trying to maximize bulk. Whirlipede has better defenses naturally, which would be much higher with Eviolite, but lower HP and might miss having black sludge.

Why not Focus Sash Scoli?

You're taunt bait with that moveset.

Exactly what I was thinking. lol

I run Scolipede, but an attack-oriented one. Love it to death. <3

Actually, I have yet to run into Taunt in any online battles yet, so I wasn't too worried about that. Although the fact that a focus sash was just recommended pretty much tells me that there's no way to make it bulky anyway.

Scolipede's advantage is being able to run attack evs and rock/bug moves to straight up defeat certain opponents. If you are definitely sure you can comfortably give up this utility, and aren't worried about taunt, give Whirli a spin.

Had someone probably think that when they went up against my prankster sableye. Easy win.
