How important is perfect atk/speed on Sableye?

#1NiceGuyDan08Posted 11/10/2013 6:40:16 PM
I have a 4IV Sableye sitting here and from what I've read about him on Smogon, I won't really need attack to be perfect, and Prankster gives priority to most of his moves regardless of speed anyways. Should I keep breeding to try to get 5 or 6, or do you guys think he's fine where he is now with a Calm Nature?

Judge if you want. We are all going to die. I intend to deserve it.

You want to try to get as low Attack as possible, since you won't be using it.

Don't want Foul Play/confusion to deal too much damage.

Not important at all. You're most likely using foul play to attack and no mount of speed investment is worth trying to outspeed the few other prankster pokemon.

Speed is always important, even with Pranskter pokemon because there's always the chance to outspeed/speed tie potential other Sableye's, etc.

However, assuming you're running the standard Foul Play/Prank set perfect atk and speed aren't entirely necessary. You'd probably be fine with what you've got.

If your basing it off the smogon set you will notice neither stat matters night shade is a fixed damage move so defensive stats are all that matters.

Foul Play is usually better. It's at least somewhat effective against everything, can hit SE, and can screw with some sweeper's heads.

Alright so I had to do some egg move stuff and I just got a Sableye that is perfect in HP/x/Def/x/SpD/Sp

Is that more than good enough or should I go for the SpA perfect?
