Set-Up for Physical Atk. Pikachu

#1Devin879Posted 11/11/2013 9:35:18 AM
Here's my set-up for a possible Atk/Spe Pikachu:

Adamant Nature
Static Ability
252 Atk/252 Spe/4 HP
Volt Tackle
Substitution
Dig
Sweet Kiss/Double Team

What'd you guys think? Any adjustments I should make?

Should've gone Jolly nature. And give it a light ball.

Forgot to mention I'd use Light Ball.

That actually sounds really good. I may replace Dig w/ Brick Break.

As I mentioned before in your other topic Dig is not a good move for pikachu. The most common thing they are going to use on you is earthquake and Dig will leave you a sitting duck that will get killed.

If you really want to deal with Steal and Rock types use a fighting type move like Brick Break. Alternatively since you be wrecking your HP with Volt Tackle that means Reversal is actually pretty viable on the thing.

To give it a bit more utility Fake Out is another option, flinch and soften things up for one of your other attacks.

If you really need to buy yourself a turn of safety then your best bet is honestly protect or substitute.

I've got a quote that embodies you perfectly, but it's seventy-three posts long, has a few massive flowcharts, and lots of Xion-KMA to Me

Jolly nature for sure. If you aren't faster you are dead.

I have a special attacker and attacker pikachu.

It's sad that Pikachu doesn't learn many moves.

Sounds good. I'll probably swap out Dig for Brick Break in that case. Should help against those rock types and steel types (Mawile comes to mind).

Okay! Thx for the input! I'll probably switch to Jolly then.

Consider Nuzzle. It's a good sacrifice move for a faster Pikachu that's going to get KO'd and can't dish out too much damage anyway... breaks focus bands and sturdy while paralyzing. Of course, it depends on the rest of your team as well, and what other kinds of status you might be inflicting.

Earth is a silly place. Half the world has no clean water. And the other half has so much, they poo in it.
