Been looking for Gligar hordes over the last two hours and I've encountered two shiny Gligars. Is it just dumb luck or is the shiny rate increased in horde battles? --- 3DS FC 2105-9161-2971 My safari Machoke, Pancham, and Hariyama.

We have no way of knowing for sure at this point.
However, from the amount of people finding shinies in hordes, it can be safe to assume that the rate has been increased for horde battles. Still, it is only an assumption, and not anything solid. --- YOU WANT SOME FUNERAL TO GO WITH THAT CAKE? | 3DS FC: 3437 - 4335 - 3104 | | Friend Safari: Panpour, Wartortle, Frogadier |

Technically, you are finding five at once as apposed to just one.

I think the shiny rate is increased in horde battles, but you would be more likely to find shinies in hordes anyway since you find 5 Pokémon instead of just 1. --- http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq303/CharizardFire6/Char-Brawl.gif

Same rates. You're just rolling the die 5 times, which is a lot better then rolling it once. So in a sense, yes shiny rates increased, but more due to additional dice rolls over actually rate increases. --- "I've just remembered something...He was not as naive as you are.
