Thoughts on Grassy Terrain Venusaur?

Is it worth it before I waste my time finding a female chlorophyll Bulbasaur to breed with Tangela? This is assuming I'm using Chlorophyll Venusaur on a sun team. Do you think the extra turn to set up is worth the boost?

It depends on your situation. My Chlorophyll Venusaur (also a sun team) seems to be doing just fine with only Growth.

Yeah, the Grassy Terrain boost is better (50% more damage from grass attacks) but the thing is growth applies to all move types so it might be overall more useful.

What's your Venuaur's moveset? If you don't mind sharing your strategy. I highly doubt you're running only grass-type offensive attacks.

It's honestly better to have somebody else use grassy terrain and free up your venusaur's moveslots. Or you can have somebody else run misty terrain instead. When pokebank opens up next month, you're going to love being able to handle both heatran and dragons at the same time with nature power and earthquake.
