Shiny breeding question.

#1NekudanPosted 11/24/2013 2:31:27 AM
Im just wondering...
Ive been trying to breed for a shiny Beldum for quite some time now and must of gone through about 17 boxes of eggs.

Im using the MM method with a Japanese ditto.
My question is does the method still work with the second pokemon being just a Beldum or does it have to be in its second or 3rd evolution?

Silly question but I seem to newer mysterys and
Mechanics every time I research. Pokemon games.

The evolutionary stage of the poke has never had an impact in previous generations so we've gotta assume it doesn't in this one either.

Ah thank you very much.

Good luck!

If you want some numbers...
In 17 boxes (510 eggs), and assuming the Masuda rate is the same as it was before, there's a 53% chance that you will have gotten a shiny.
To have a 99% chance of getting a shiny you need to hatch 3143 eggs.
